The HTC Sensation XE is an updated version of HTC's excellent Sensation dual-core Android smartphone, now packing a slightly faster processor, slightly larger battery, some red highlights, and a pair of Beats Audio in-ear headphones. While the updates are indeed very minimal, they do at least add some extra jazz to an already fantastic handset.
This device is one of HTC's first to come with the "Beats by Dr. Dre" branding, but other than a pair of Beats Audio headphones in the box and some red accents on the phone itself, there is little else to talk about with regards to the Beats Audio aspect of this handset. Perhaps more will come in future, but for now I found the Beats Audio influence to be a bit lacking on the Sensation XE.
Still, with a 1.5GHz dual core processor, large screen, and an 8 megapixel camera, the handset has plenty to shout about and does a good job of keeping up with its rivals, despite not offering anything particularly groundbreaking.
