T-Mobile has announced the expansion of its HSPA+ 42 network to 11 new markets today. The faster HSPA+ service lets users download content to their mobile devices at speeds of up to 42Mbps. The number of markets with HSPA+ 42 is now 163, with 180 million Americans covered. Additionally, T-Mobile is expanding its HSPA+ 21 network to 9 new markets, covering 208 total markets and more than 200 million people. The new markets to get HSPA+ 42 are Bend, Medford and Corvallis, Ore.; Benton Harbor, Mich.; Bloomington, Champaign?Urbana and Springfield, Ill.; Columbus, Ga.; Hagerstown, Md.; Montgomery, Ala; and Yuba City, Calif., while Corvallis, Ore.; Decatur and Peoria, Ill.; Evansville, Ind.; Holland and Kalamazoo, Mich.; Santa Barbara, Calif; State College, Pa.; and Yuba City, Calif.; are getting the HSPA+ 21 service.source: T-Mobile
