Google has released an update to the Google Voice app for Android smartphones and tablets that adds a new group texting feature, among other things. The new text option will let users send the same message to multiple recipients at once, though it does not carry on a group chat conversation. The app can also pre-fetch voicemails so they can be listened to without a data connection, and Google boasts that the app has improved text messaging notifications. The Google Voice app is free and available in the Android Market now. It requires a free Google Voice account to function.source: Android Market
