The HTC Rezound is the first smartphone from HTC with Beats Audio integration to come to the U.S. This means it has special audio processing technology, and comes with signature iBeats headphones in the box. In addition to Beats Audio, the Rezound is the first smartphone with a 720p (1280 x 720 pixel) display in the U.S. and the first from HTC for any market.

Verizon's HTC Rezound is powered by a 1.5GHz, dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 1GB of RAM, and comes with 16GB of internal storage and a 16GB microSD card pre-installed. It is a thick and heavy smartphone by today's standards, as it measures 13.65mm thick and weighs 165g. The tapered back aids handling, but there is no hiding the fact that the Rezound is a large phone. Running Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, the Rezound has HTC's Sense 3.5 interface. HTC says that an upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be coming in early 2012. The Rezound will be available on November 14 for $299 with a new two-year agreement.
