Barnes & Noble claims 27 percent of e-reader market, NOOK Color number 2 selling tablet in U.S.

During a press conference in NYC today, Barnes & Noble revealed some stats about the e-reader and tablet market in the U.S. The bookseller's suite of NOOK e-readers claim 27 percent of the e-reader market, while the NOOK Color is considered the second-best selling tablet in the U.S., behind the market leader Apple iPad. Barnes & Noble's e-reader ecosystem now has access to 2.5 million book titles, over 100 magazines, thousands of kid's books, and full-color comics from Marvel.
