Today Apple made it possible for people in 22 more countries to pre-order the company's wildly popular iPhone 4S smartphone. Pre-orders are now being accepted on Apple's web site in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
Apple appears to be listing ship time for the pre-orders as anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks. Considering that the iPhone 4S is set to be available in stores on October 28, it would seem quite likely that a pre-order will not get you a device before those who just wander into a store next Friday.
