Sprint has announced the availability of a new relay service for Android users who are hard of hearing. The Wireless CapTel app lets users hold conversations with real-time word-for-word captions. A user can dial a phone number through the app, and they will be automatically connected to the CapTel service that will provide the captioning. Callers can listen to the recipients voice and read the captions at the same time. Users can receive captions on incoming calls if they give callers their special Wireless CapTel phone number to use. Wireless CapTel is free and available for Android 2.2 Froyo or higher smartphones on Sprint.
