Google just updated its Maps application for Android to version 5.11 and included one lonely feature that is probably very valuable to those whose phones have limited storage. The new version of Maps takes up less storage space than before, because downloaded maps are available for specific screen resolutions. Now users who have a phone with a lower screen resolution don't have to download maps that are optimized for a high-res, 4.5-inch display, and can save the storage space for something else, like their call log. The updated version of Google Maps is now available in the Android Market.source: Android Market
