Microsoft has announced that it has inked yet another patent licensing deal with an Android manufacturer. This time the manufacturer is Quanta, a smaller supplier of Android and ChromeOS-powered tablets and smartphones.

The exact terms of the agreement were not announced, but it was revealed that Quanta will be paying Microsoft royalties for every device sold. Quanta joins Samsung, HTC, and six other companies that have already signed a licensing deal with Microsoft for their Android devices.

"We are pleased to have reached this agreement with Quanta, and proud of the continued success of our Android licensing program in resolving IP issues surrounding Android and Chrome devices in the marketplace," said corporate vice president and deputy general counsel, Intellectual Property Group at Microsoft, Horacio Gutierrez.

Quanta is also the manufacturer of the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet and Amazon Kindle Fire tablet.
