AT&T outs the Avail, its latest GoPhone Android smartphone

AT&T has announced the Avail, the latest addition to its lineup of GoPhone prepaid Android smartphones. Built by ZTE, the Avail features Android 2.3 Gingerbread and a 3.5-inch display.

The Avail follows the LG Thrive as the second Android phone offered to AT&T's GoPhone customers. Behind its 3.5-inch touchscreen is 512MB of internal storage and 512MB of RAM. There is a 2GB microSD card pre-installed, as well. The Avail supports AT&T's 3G UMTS network on the 850/1900MHz bands as well as the 2100MHz band used it most of the rest of the world. It includes a 5 megapixel camera with camcorder functions.

The Avail will be offered by AT&T without a contract later this year. Pricing has yet to be announced.
