Bad news for those in the U.S. who were excited about the recently announced Galaxy Note smartphone and Galaxy Tab 7.7 tablet from Samsung, as the company has said that it has no plans to release the new devices in the U.S. at the current time.

GottaBeMobile received confirmation of the company's plans, or lack there of, during the IFA trade show in Berlin where the new products were announced. The Galaxy Note is a smartphone with a massive, 5.3-inch Super AMOLED display and support for a capacitive stylus. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 is an update to last years Galaxy Tab, with a new, thinner design, a faster processor, and Android 3.2 Honeycomb.

Hopefully, Samsung's plans will change and the new products will get picked up by American carriers, but for the time being, it seems like the only way us Yanks will get our hands on them is through importing them ourselves.
